The Victorians developed new styles of the old cup and ball game, Catch People, or Catch Fish or bats with more than one hole.
No one is quite sure where the cup and ball first came from, possibly Italy or Greece but it has been popular all over the world.
Royalty and richer people played the game because the beautiful wooden toys were made by craftsmen and were expensive to buy.
